This Thanksgiving, Thank Yourself
Nov 27, 2024
As Integrators, we’re often the steady hand behind the scenes—solving problems, juggling details, and keeping everything on track. But how often do we pause to validate ourselves?
Too often, we tie our self-worth to someone else’s attitude (usually the visionary’s) and wait for their approval to feel like we’re enough. But that’s a trap.
I talk about this in the last chapter of my book titled, “Who Is Your Puppeteer?” When we depend on others for validation, we hand over the strings of our self-worth, falling into people-pleasing instead of empowered leadership.
It’s time to take a page out of the visionary’s playbook and, like Snoop Dogg, start thanking yourself.
This Thanksgiving, I’m reminding you to take back those strings. Start by thanking yourself—for the challenges you’ve overcome, the impact you’ve made, and the resilience you’ve shown this year.
You don’t need permission to feel proud of how far you’ve come. It’s already yours.
What’s one thing you’re proud of this year? Hit reply—I’d love to hear it.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Rachel
